acutally, thinking about the word leprosy/going to catholic school for 8 years, the lepers always lingered in my mind. what was their skin like, covered in sheet upon sheet of phillo dough? faintly feline, leopardy? a piece of raw meat under a sheet of pale pink tissue paper? my childhood leper thoughts...
